Why
?
At Resolution Behavior Analysis, our name reflects our services. Relevant definitions from the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary include:
Resolution: the quality of being resolute or determined
We have a firmness of purpose and the will to see our mission completed. We have many goals for our clients, and we are determined to reach as many of them as possible.
Resolution: the act of solving or settling a problem, argument, etc.
Our aim is to resolve our client’s challenges with creative and sound problem-solving. Each individual is unique, which means that each of our cases is too. Thankfully, the science of applied behavior analysis gives us the tools we need to complete the puzzles we’re presented with.
Resolution: the power of a computer screen, printer, etc. to give a clear image, depending on the size of the dots (= marks) that make up the image
We seek to bring the world into focus for our clients. Just like a screen with fewer pixels will provide an inexact image, a client who doesn’t have the training needed to read social situations or apprehend complex problems is not seeing the full picture. We work on skills that allow our clients to view their world with a new sharpness, clarity, and certainty.

Our commitment to justice guides every aspect of our practice, from designing individualized treatment plans to advocating for the rights and inclusion of individuals with autism within their communities.
Furthermore, our services are firmly rooted in the philosophy of harm reduction, which emphasizes minimizing the negative consequences of behavior while prioritizing the well-being and dignity of the individual. Behavior challenges can arise from various factors, including environmental stressors, communication difficulties, and sensory sensitivities. Rather than focusing solely on eliminating unwanted behaviors, we take a holistic and compassionate approach that seeks to understand the underlying causes and address them in a supportive manner. Through positive reinforcement, skill-building exercises, and environmental modifications, we aim to reduce harm and promote healthier, more adaptive behaviors that enhance quality of life for our clients and their families.
In addition to justice and harm reduction, our services are dedicated to promoting happiness and overall well-being. We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to experience joy, fulfillment, and a sense of belonging. By fostering positive relationships, building on strengths, and celebrating achievements, we create an environment where our clients can thrive and experience genuine happiness.
Through our commitment to justice, harm reduction, and happiness promotion, we strive to make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of our clients and their communities.
